Sweet Gold

Posted by

I revisited the cornfield I took a pic of a week or two ago. What a difference! The corn is almost ready for harvest. The wind rustles the stalks together and the blue, Indiana Fall sky looks almost unreal.

On another note, my replacement D40 arrives today! I really want to thank everyone for their kind comments when my D40 was stolen, and for suggestions on replacement camera. But for me, the D40 felt more like an extension of me than any other camera I have ever used and owned. There's a nice piece by another D40 owner who describes this magic here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm. From time-to-time, I use the excellent Rebel xti for images, but the D40 is like an old friend. I can't wait to get reacquainted!
