It's Fall in Indiana, which means lots of Fall Festivals. Over the next few days, I'll be posting some typical Fall images from this part of the world. This is a pic of a pile of Jack O'Lantern pumpkins just waiting to be turned into grinning, Halloween faces.

Great overall composition and the way you captured light shadows on the pumpkins is impressive-great detail of the ridges too! Looking forward to viewing your Fall time festival images over the next few days.

Wow, that's a lot of pumpkins! It would be so much fun to convert all of these into Jack O'Lanterns. :)

I love this shot! The shapes, colors, and textures. But then I've always loved pumpkins and know that each one has a particular face waiting to be discovered. When our kids were small, we moved from NOLA to Iowa and for the first time in our previously urban experience, found places like these that sold pumpkins by the ton. One of my favorite photos from that era shows our kids ranging around through these same kinds of pumpkin piles, searching for the perfect pumpkin. You've evoked fond memories for me today, Brian. Thanks!

I really love this time of year in the Midwest (although today is rather gray and overcast). The bright, blue skies and the the ripe corn and orange pumpkins are truly markers of the season. As for my camera, the replacement D40 (I decided to stick with the tried and true 40!) is on its way!

Cool shot! Yes, Autumn produces some of the finest in all the seasons! Looking forward to seeing more.
Nice shot! I guess they will be grinning soon! The pumpkins here in Jamaica never look like that, they are dark green and speckled with light green.
