Butterfly At The End of Summer

Posted by Brian (West Lafayette, United States) on 17 September 2007 in Animal & Insect.

Over the next few days, I'll post some pix I took at the Celery Bog nature preserve about 10 minutes from my home. The Bog is an amazing place, with dramatic transitions in landscape and plants, sometimes within a few dozen yards . It's called a celery bog because celery was grown there for a number of years. It is actually the remnants of the most southerly glacial lake in the US.
