A young Mennonite boy reacts to a local rock band powering up at the Farmer's Market. BTW--I've been buried with work the past few days and although I've had chance to look at the wonderful images in this community, I've had no time to comment. I hope to remedy that today! Thanks to all of you for being an inspiration!

What awesome processing Brian...this photo looks as if it was taken in the early 1900's.
Very cool. Nice capture!! hahahha, he reminds me of my boys - they do that whenever something is too loud and they don't like what they're hearing!!! :)

FANTASTIC PP on this photo! The warm tone of it really is perfect for the time frame you were trying to achieve. The framing adds a nice touch to the edge of the photo and gives that even more authentic look. It is nice to take a step back in time, poor boy must of been hard for him!

Did he stick around very long to listen?

The way you isolated this boy and his expression, plus the processing with sepia tones makes this the portrait of the week, from my pov! Bravo Brian!

Viewfinder--thank you for the kind comments. This really was a precious moment and I feel lucky to have captured it. As you can see, it was a fairly long tele shot and the Canon does not have built-in image stabilization--hence the softness of the pic. It was this softness that led me to use the antique approach. I'm not sure it would have been as acceptable in the color version.

Wow, Brian!! I must say that even with the background, this really does look like it's a very old photo from a bygone era!! I must echo everyone in this case to say what an absolutely amazing piece this is! Superb capture and processing! Wow, again!!
