Lost Valley from CanadaThis is one of the most intriguing abstract photos I have ever seen. This photo found me looking deep down the spiral staircase to see if I could see the bottom where it ends! I could never ever find it tho' I really looked. The intricacy of each portion of the spiral seem to interwine with the next leaving a feeling of needing to know more about it! Where does it lead? Where will it take the adventure seeker? Did you need to work with the lighting in the lighthouse so that you were able to take the original photo? I must say this is captivating.... 29 Aug 2007 5:24am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaJewel-like sparkles and never-ending spirals in a wonderful abstract. A real gem, this is ART! Brian, it's WOW! 29 Aug 2007 9:58am DaveB from Exeter, United KingdomLovely. I'm not sure quite whats going on, but it looks cool! 29 Aug 2007 10:43am ttomasso from Ballina, Irelandalthough heavily photoshopped, you didn't loose a anything of appealing on this picture. Good way of using filters! 29 Aug 2007 12:52pm Brian from United StatesYeah--the processing is heavy in this image. However, I wanted to give a fairly conventional spiral staircase picture a bit of 'pop!' LV--We're actually looking up--there's no way you'd get me to the top! The lighting is the natural light coming in from the various windows at different levels in the tower. 29 Aug 2007 1:57pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWow! this looks like thousands of coloured jewels spiraling upwards! fabulous work Brian. 29 Aug 2007 2:35pm Janice Thomson from Courtenay BC, CanadaStairway to heaven? Love it Brian. A unique perspective on what is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Here they are almost all but gone. 29 Aug 2007 4:01pm Brian from United StatesThere are just a few left on the Outer Banks, too. Most of them are now unmanned--it's logical, but a shame, too. 29 Aug 2007 6:31pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesWow, this is a major work of art.
