Captiva Sunset III

A more gentle sunset to end this short series. I was trying hard to capture not only the peace of this time of day, but also the wonderful solitude of that white sand beach. The palms seemed to me like solitary sentinels watching over the sea.

This is PERFECT! Brian. I love it, I really love it. You've caught the image that so far has eluded me. I think it's the twin palms against the restful sky and water, and the other palm with a hint of the cottage at day's end, on the edge of the photo. You have captured the sandy essence of beach Florida at sunset, right here. Bravo! Great series.

The serenity this evokes is quite extraordinary. This whole series could be viewed as a great photographic metaphor of our lives ending with the ultimate peace that comes with death. Outstanding Brian.

Thats a beautiful blush in the sky and a magical photograph - I've just come here straight from looking again at Lorraines sunrise shot - what a counterfoil this is! One second scarlet red - the next a gentle blush!
